Solar or Electric Gate Openers

Our swing solar and electric driveway gate openers are a classic design for residential and farm application and better yet it is designed for simple DIY (do it yourself) installation.

Go Green! - Our solar gate opener runs off a 12v low voltage battery.  Although, if you prefer you may connect it to 240volt mains power.

The battery recharges through the day using solar energy (panel must receive a minimum of 6 hours sunlight a day) this offers a more energy efficient and reliable solution (a battery powered opener will operate for 40 cycles even when the power is out with no sunlight).

The solar or electric gate opener is suitable for gates opening inwards or outwards, and will support a maximum weight of 250kg.

Our solar or electric powered gate opener is used as a pull to open gate opener using the standard mounting brackets.  The standard brackets can be used to open the gate inwards or outwards if required due to slope of driveway or gardens stopping the gate from working.

These driveway gate openers feature Heavy-Duty control boards with an obstruction-sensing feature that automatically stops and reverses the gate when it encounters an obstacle during both open and close modes.

Please note that you do not have to purchase the below brackets to install the gate opener, we offer these as extras to help with the installation if you wish!

 

You are supplied with a flat bracket for the actuator arm to conenct to your gate post,
if you have a round gate post you can purchase a round post bracket at $20 each,
this will prevent you having to cut the post our or make a flat surface for the flat bracket to bolt to.

 

You are supplied with a flat bracket for the actuator arm to connect to your gate,
if your gate is made of the round tubular you have an option of purchasing the
round gate bracket at $20 each, this again will help you attaching a bracket to a round surface.
